안녕하세요 여러분!
I’m the creator of Koreanstudyjunkie, you can call me Junie. I’m here to let you in on a Korea study abroad opportunity.
IM HOSTING A STUDY ABROAD TRIP!
I’m hosting a mini-study abroad trip to Seoul, South Korea next Spring (2026) for my students!
You can learn more about the study abroad program here: https://www.koreanstudyjunkie.com/korea-study-abroad-program
BUT I will be telling you essentially the same things as in this post.
Here’s What You Can Expect:
Short, practical Korean classes (30–45 min)
Real-world “missions” to apply your Korean daily
Lunches together at local restaurants (covered!)
Language exchange events with Korean locals
Optional hangouts, cultural activities, and special group events
Rewards, souvenirs, and surprise experiences
Bonus Perks:
Fun hangouts with Junie (street food tours, café hopping, karaoke bars, and more)
Group challenges & prizes
End-of-program community event
Completion certificate & keepsakes
Why Mini-Study Abroad?
I really wanted to host a group trip to Korea, but legally I can’t! However, A “Study Trip” is totally legal.
It’s called a mini-study abroad program, because it’s less than a month. You can choose from 1 week, 2 weeks, or 3 weeks. I think it’s much easier for more people to commit to a week long trip than it is for a 3 month trip for example.
Since this is a MINI program, flights and accomodations will be taken care of by you.
PROGRAM OPTIONS:
Tier: 1 Week Program
Duration: 7 days
Price: $400
Focus: Fast-paced intro to immersive Korean
Tier: 2 Week Program
Duration: 14 days
Price: $700
Focus: Deeper cultural & language exchange
Tier: 3 Week Program
Duration: 21 days
Price: $1,000
Focus: Full immersion + special cultural experiences
The price covers teaching time and materials, lunches, rewards, and special events.
Study Abroad Programs usually cost anywhere from $1700 - $5000 depending on if accommodation and food is provided and how long the programs are.
Pre-Requisite
To join the program, you must be / become a 1:1 Korean student with Junie.
This ensures that everyone has the language foundation needed to fully enjoy and benefit from the experience.
(If you’re not currently a student, you can start lessons now to prepare!)
I would prefer people who aren’t as knowledgeable with Korean not to join without becoming a student first.
I prefer you to be a student for at least 2 months in advance of going on the trip to ensure you have a good foundation and can make the most of it.
