100 Most Common Korean Verbs

Before we dive in..
When people see “most common” they have a certain expectation. The truth is, “most common” doesn’t just refer to 100 or 200 or even 500 words. In most languages, the most common words extend upwards of 1-2000 (and even more than that usually)!
I’m only mentioning this to say that I tried to mix in common words that were not TOO common - if you get what I mean. That way, not just BEGINNERS, but also intermediate learners will see words they haven’t learned yet as well!

씻다 = to wash
입다 – to wear (clothes)
벗다 – to take off (clothes)
요리하다 – to cook
청소하다 – to clean
정리하다 – to organize
준비되다 – to be prepared
출발하다 – to depart
도착하다 – to arrive
이동하다 – to move

아끼다 = to save
배고프다 – to be hungry
배부르다 – to be full
주문하다 – to order
포장하다 – to take out (food)
계산하다 – to pay / calculate
낭비하다 – to waste
남기다 – to leave behind
채우다 – to fill
비우다 – to empty

사귀다 = to date
헤어지다 – to break up
연락하다 – to contact
소개하다 – to introduce
칭찬하다 – to praise
비판하다 – to criticize
비교하다 – to compare
존중하다 – to respect
무시하다 – to ignore
오해하다 – to misunderstand

걱정하다 = to worry
스트레스받다 – be stressed
긴장하다 – to be nervous
안심하다 – to feel relieved
실망하다 – be disappointed
만족하다 – to be satisfied
후회하다 – to regret
참다 – to endure / hold back
화내다 – to get angry
울다 – to cry

제출하다 = to submit
참석하다 – to attend
결석하다 – to be absent
발표하다 – to present
토론하다 – to discuss
기록하다 – to record
계획하다 – to plan
관리하다 – to manage
확인하다 – to check
검토하다 – to review

늘다 = to increase
줄다 – to decrease
변하다 – to change
유지하다 – to maintain
개선하다 – to improve
악화되다 – to worsen
발전하다 – to develop
회복하다 – to recover
멈추다 – to stop
계속하다 – to continue

문자하다 = to text
전화하다 – to call
답장하다 – to reply
저장하다 – to save
삭제하다 – to delete
공유하다 – to share
차단하다 – to block
알리다 – to inform
전달하다 – to deliver
설명하다 – to explain

허락하다 = to allow
금지하다 – to forbid
지키다 – to keep / follow
어기다 – to break (rules)
요구하다 – to demand
거절하다 – to refuse
동의하다 – to agree
반대하다 – to oppose
책임지다 – take responsibility
따르다 – to follow

다치다 = to get injured
고장나다 – to break down
떨어지다 – to fall
미끄러지다 – to slip
막히다 – to be blocked
열리다 – to be opened
닫히다 – to be closed
잠기다 – to be locked
풀리다 – to loosen, be solved
익숙해지다 – to get used to

보내다 = to send; spend
알아보다 – to look into
챙기다 – to pack
넘기다 – to skip
버티다 – to endure
포기하다 – to give up
맡다 – to take charge
피하다 – to avoid
몰입하다 – to immerse
적응하다 – to adapt
