Hotel Phrases To Know Before Your Trip To Korea



안녕하세요 여러분! It's Koreanstudyjunkie. Today we're gonna look at some essential Korean phrases to know for your next visit to Korea!



체크인할 때 - when you check in:


빈방 있습니까? - Is there a room available for the night? / Are there any vacancies for tonight? / Do you have any rooms[vacancies] tonight?


예약했습니다 - I have a reservation. / I've already made a reservation.


(이수진)이라는 이름으로 예약했습니다 - The reservation is under the name _____ (Sujin Lee)


예약이 안 되어 있습니다 - I don't have a reservation under that name. / I'm sorry. Your name is not in our system. / I'm afraid I can't find your name.


S 여해사를 통해 예약했습니다 - I booked through S Travel. / I made the reservation through the S Travel Agency.


방이 없으면 다른 호텔을 추천해 주시겠어요? - If you don't have any rooms available, could you recommend another hotel? / Are there any other hotels nearby?


숙박부를 작성해 주세요 - Please fill out the check-in slip?


정오까지 체크아웃해 주세요 - Please check out before noon. / You need to check out by noon.



서비스를 부탁할 때 = Asking for services:


짐을 방으로 옮겨 주시겠어요? - Could you have my bags taken upstairs?


아침 식사는 몇 시인가요? - When is breakfast? / When do you serve breakfast?


룸서비스 되나요? - Is room service available? / Can I order room service?


몇 시까지 룸서비스가 가능한가요? - Until what time is roon service available?


룸서비스는 9번을 누르시면 됩니다 - Please press 9 for room service.

룸서비스입니다. 무엇을 도와 드릴까요? - (This is) Room service. How may I help you?


아침 식사를 방으로 가져다 주세요 - Please send breakfast up to my room. / I'd like to have breakfast in my room. / Can I have breakfast in bed?


신문을 부탁했는데, 오지 않는군요 - I didn't get the newspaper that I asked for. / I asked for a paper, and it's still not here.


내일 아침 7시에 모닝콜 부탁합니다 - I'd like a 7 o'clock wake-up call. / I need a wake-up call at 7. / Please wake me up at 7 in the morning.


405호인데, 제게 메시지 온 것 있나요? - I'm in 405. Are there any message for me?


국제전화를 걸고 싶습니다 - I need to make an international call.


외부로 전화하려면 어떻게 해야 하나요? - How do I dial out?


725호실에[베이커 씨에게] 연결해 주시겠어요? - Could you connect me to[Can you put me through] room 725[Mr. Baker], please?


안내 데스크는 0번입니다 - Please press 0 for the front desk.



불편한 점을 말할 때 = When talking about uncomfortable things:


뜨거운 물이 안 나와요 - The hot water isn't running. / We'r not getting any hot water.


방의 온도는 어떻게 조절하나요? - How do I control the room temperature? / Is threr a room temperature controller in the room?


옆방이 너무 시끄러워요 - The room next to ours is making too much noise. / The people next door are too noisy.


TV[에어컨]가 안 켜져요 - The TV[air conditioner] won't turn on. / I can't turn on the TV[air conditioner]. / The TV[air conditioner] is not working.


세면대가 막혔어요 - The sink is all clogged up.


인터넷 연결이 안 되네요 - I'm having some problems

with the Internet connetcion.


세탁 맡길 것이 있어요 - I have some laundry that needs to be done.



체크아웃할 때 = Check out:


하루 일찍 나가려고 합니다 - I'd like to check out a day early.


하루 더 머무르려고 합니다 - I'd like to stay one more day. / Is the room available for one more day?


체크아웃해 주세요 - I'd like to check out. / I'm ready to check out.


한 시간 정도 체크아웃해도 될까요? - Is it okay to check out an hour late? / I'd like to check out an hour late if that's okay.


계산서 부탁합니다 - The bill, please. / Please make out my bill.


여행자수표로 지불할 수 있나요? - Do you take traveler's check? / Can I pay by traveler's check?


청구서 요금이 틀린 것 같습니다 - There's a mistake on the bill. / I think I've been charged the wrong amount. / You charged the wrong amount.


이 청구 금액이 뭔지 설명해 주시겠어요? - Could you explain these charges to me?


저희는 룸서비스를 이용하지 않았는데요 - We never used any room service.



 

회화 Example | Dialogue Example


A: 안녕하십니까? NY 호텔에 전화 주셔서 감사합니다. 무엇을 도와 드릴까요?

B: 네, 방을 하나 예약하고 싶습니다.

A: 원하시는 날짜는요?

B: 6월 7일부터 10일까지 총 4일이요.

A: 싱글, 더블, 그리고 풀 서비스 스위트룸이 있습니다.

B: 싱글로 할게요. 객실 요금이 얼마죠?

A: 성수기라서 객실 요금은 일박에 100달러입니다.


English Translation:

A: Good afternoon, thank you for calling the NY hotel. How may I help you?

B: Yes, I would like to make a room reservation.

A: For what dates, please?

B: June 7th through the 10th, so a total of four days.

A: We have single and double rooms available as well as full service suites.

B: I'd like a single, please. What is the rate?

A: It's a peak season right now, so the rate is one hundred dollars a night.
